Political Ads Are Good Comedy

Allow me to begin by saying, I love election season! Sure, there’s the voting part, which, considering that many people across the globe don’t get the chance, is pretty cool … but, for me, it’s the attack ads and political banter that make me smile. I mean, who doesn’t like to hear about someone having to deny she’s a witch, or a candidate interested in reinstating prohibition in Nevada (pssst, that’s where Las Vegas and Reno are)? It’s just so damn entertaining, and I can’t help but smile while all this goes on.

So, I recently saw this ad on YouTube for a guy running for the Alabama Agriculture Commission. His name is Dale Peterson, and his ad has to be the best I’ve seen yet. His intensity, in-your-face “I’m an American”-ism, the patriotic music, the gun … well, shoot, I guess this is just the gosh darn best of the best if you ask me. Yeeeeeee Hawwwwww!
