Radio Journalism is Alive and Well
When you’re surrounded by 24-hour television news networks where most of the stories are filled with hidden political or corporate endorsements, it’s refreshing to find journalists that are still putting in the time and effort to craft engaging stories using the magic of sound and the medium of radio. Tania Ketenjian—a San Francisco-based journalist and artist who we’ve worked with in the past on podcasts for the San Francisco International Airport (USO and Beagle Brigade stories)—just launched a new website where intelligent and exciting radio journalism is alive and well. The new site is called The [Un]Observed – A Radio Magazine.
From music and film to politics and religion, this new home for international journalists and the stories they produce is a great place to visit regularly. The site is chock full of great stories from around the globe.
I just finished listening to David Ritz’s piece about the birth of Marvin Gaye‘s famous hit single, “Sexual Healing.” What a great story! I won’t ruin it for you, but I suggest you go to The [Un}Observed website and check it out yourself.
We wish Tania the best on her new endeavor! Now go check out The [Un]Observed Radio Magazine website already will ya? Go!
